Isolated

Have you ever wondered that with all the new technology and now AI that we have become an isolated society?  Stop and think. People are constantly on their phones not really having conversations. Walk into any coffee shop and what do you see?  People playing with their cell phones even if they are there with another person. They are not actually having a conversation. I spent some time in Italy and my late husband I often waked into town for a coffee.  I had an Irish phone so I could have easily played with it. Instead, not only did I love the coffee but the conversation as well. People need to converse more instead of being on their phones, playing video games, glued to the TV, or their computer.  Every day there are games offtered if people have nothing to do or are bored. Why not go to the library or a book shop and pick up a book?  I often order books online that I believe I might like to read. I do the same for my granddaughter. The point is we do need to stop being so isolated. One of the problems with a narcissist is that they do isolate anyone close to them. It could be a wife, girlfriend, or even a child. I was helping my daughter with a divorce case in Arizona that  she is assisting on. As I read the transcrips, all three hundred and sixty-nine pages, I noticed that while the dad wanted activities for their boys the mother tended to be less enthusiastic and often prevented them from participating. She gave all types of reasons but it didn’t really matter. She was also somewhat selfish. In reality, she was isolating the boys not only from activities but their father as well. I will be interested to see how this plays out. Do you think we have become an isolated society? The Good Gus Series is available online at Kindle, Nook and Waterstones.
