Past Misdeeds

What on earth makes individuals think that their past misdeeds should be forgiven and let go? Particulary if they have hurt others in a terrible way. In movies, TV shows, Facebook and now on Pocket FM, the writers write about the reality of how people behave. Some of the individuals feel that if they did something harmful to another it shouldn’t matter and just be forgotten. How many stories have you seen about a wife thinking her marriage was ideal and then she walked into her home one day only for her husband to tell her he wanted a divorce? He presented the divorce papers, demanded her to sign and then told her to move out. I truly love the ones where the wife had just won the lottery and was about to share the news. The shock overwhelmed her and she remained silent. The husband usually claimed he had fallen in love with her sister or best friend.  Then when they discover she is wealthy they suddenly change their mind. I particuarly love the stories where the man sues the woman for his half of the money only to be denied by the judge. However, those are fantasies.  The writing clearly shows that the past misdeeds cannot be let go or forgiven. Usually when a husband or wife decide to end it, one person always suffers and usually ends up struggling financially. What I find amazing about many of these stories is that the ones that are true often show a conspiracy.  This includes a judge, an attorney and a government worker. I saw one on Reddit that was surprising that the former wife found out and her ex-husband’s father helped her. The husband, and I do know of other true cases, had taken the child, lied about the mother doing it only for revenge. My daughter and I  help in many child custody cases and I currently know of two such cases. One is the husband and the other is the wife. The ex wife really continues to go  beyond to hurt and destory her ex. The trouble was that in this instance he didn’t cheat. She did and then the man dumped her. Then, all she cared about was the ex-‘s money and for some reason getting revenge. I just don’t think people should be forced to forget and forgive past misdeeds particuarly hurtful ones, do you?
