What comes to your mind when you think of true wealth?Almost everyone thinks about money. People who have true wealth financially are not always mean and unkind. Many individuals help others without public display. The obviously donate to charities. What they don’t realize that many of the larger world wide charities pay their executives a high rate of pay. They do deserve good compensation but not to the point that it affects those truly in need. Frequently, there are videos on Facebook about people with true wealth trying to find other individuals who are kind and even generous. They usually hire the individuals, help them obtain a home or give one to them, and help them re-establish themselves and their lives. The other type of true wealth are the people who know and appreciate gratitude. They are the individuals who have a home to live in, food to eat and the ability to earn an income. Most people do not appreciate that. They spend their days complaining about their jobs. The chances of everyone loving their employment is close to nil. In the paralegal business most people want everything for free and then they complain about paying. Often they receive the service for a fair or even low price. I know a man that was a friend of my late husband’s Over the course of several years, I did a minimum of ten thousand dollars worth of free work or eleven thousand one hundred Euros. That is significant. Yet, when he was asked to help out a member of my family he didn’t even respond. In my mind this went beyond a lack of appreciation and gratitute. Understand, that he owns his own home, has a small house he rents out by the month, and a large amount of land he has divided into lots that he is selling. A small amount to help wouldn’t have made a dent in his wallet. Do you know people who do understand true wealth? The Good Gus Series is available online at Kindle, Nook and Waterstones.
