Mix Up

Often we mix up. It could be anything. Yesterday I had a doctor’s appointment that I logged for today. I was on time, signed in and then they told me I made a mix up. The doctor saw me anyways but that isn’t the point. I simply put it on the wrong day on the family calandar. The entire office was quite nice about it. I think this may call for some homemade blueberry muffins in the near future. Often we can be under so much stress that we mix up things. It is an easy occurance in cooking. I always find writing down most of my recipes and following them to avoid errors. In life, though, things just happend. I saw a short reel about a younger girl who was riding with a man when she saw an older woman whose car had broken down. She forced her companion to stop which he did but wouldn’t help the woman. He said his job interview was more importannt and left her there. She did assist the woman by walking to the closest gas/petrol station which was  2 miles or 3.219 kilometers round trip. The woman had run out of gas/petrol. She filled her tank and then the woman gave her a ride to her job interview. She was late and explained to the hiring manager. Her friend had already arrived and made disparaging remarks about her. She explained to the manager who was not quite sure until his mother walked into the conference room. She had driven to bring him his lunch and then said hello to the girl who had helped her. That was all it took. The mother explained about the other candidate and he tried to back track and make excuses. It didn’t matter as her son gave the girl who helped his mother the job. Sometimes there are a variety of mix ups but in this case the other candidate lied and knew it was not a mix up but a kind act by his friend.
