Judging

Why do people feel that is acceptable to be continually judging people and criticizing them? I just saw an article about a woman judging a family from India who were on the same bus as her at the Los Angees Airport. She was claiming that they were dressed poorly and were nothing more that white trash. She claimed that the husband pushed her and the readers of this article might have believed her except she involved their eleven year old child.  That was all it took. She has now been placed on a no fly list. On Facebook, there are countless reels about people judging others and not in a positive manner. Many of the reels include people who are borderline wealthy claiming others are white trash and a few other choice names. Then if you follow the reel these nasty people find out that they are insulting their possible future boss, coworker, or possible future client because they are actualy the wealthy individuals.  All these people end up not being hired, losing the deals and if they did work at a job being immediately let go. I think most people size others up when they first meet. Then they may make a snap judgement or decide to investigate further. In the workplace, I learned years ago that the Human Resources person decided instantly whether they will hire a person or reject them. One of the parts I loved about being in the temporary engineering contract business was I never saw any of the people I put to work. One of the best parts was I generally found people who had been rejected by Human Resources only to send them strainght to a manager who saw their value and hired them.  The worst part is that the Human Resource person, who was generally a woman, never even remembered these individuals. I think it is important to focus on judging an individual by who they are first, don’t you agree?
