Have you ever been coerced into doing something you didn’t wish to do? I know many of us did as children. We would actually be bullied into acting in a negative way. Generally. I walked away. I just didn’t care and if I didn’t like the person I just left. They called me names and treated me poorly but I didn’t care. I have always had rules about myself. Sometimes I broke them, but mostly I followed them. I felt as a person you had to have rules about yourself. Many of the kids did things they shouldn’t. Often it was not right, but they did it anyways. Sometimes they did risky things and other times stupid things. As teens we were often coerced into doing things. When I found it difficult I always made an excuse and left. Usually I said I had to be home at a certain time so they would leave me alone. I ended up as a teen without many friends but I didn’t care. I did do some silly things such as skip a day of summer school. It was sciene and I never mastered it. The teacher passed me only to get rid of me. Many kids took their parents cars and went for joy rides, drank at parties, smoke cigarettes, and more more by being coerced. I found being an adult actually easier. Now with gangs, there are a variety of crimes including snatch and grab at shops, drive by shootings, setting fires and more. All this to be part of a group is crazy. I once saw a boy who committed a crime so he could be in juvenile with his brother. He had no idea as he was so young how much he hurt himself and his life.
