Body Shaming

Body shaming in wrong and unjustified.  People can insult another person with body shaming about weight, looks, clothes, food, hair, and so much more. If you wonder about food, it starts in elementary school. Another child or a group will make fun of or criticize someone’s lunch. In a few videos I have seen the younger children share their lunches to the child that has no food. Then there are others who make fun of them for the quality of their food. I used to eat secretly because by the time I reached junior high, there were cafeterias and I didn’t have the money to pay. I would hide out so that no one saw me with a simple sandwhich.  Body shaming of hair takes a variety of forms. I have a relative whose daughter is bald. She is cute but public school is just too hurtful. She does have real friends and participates in activities but is careful where she goes and what she does. Body shaming with clothes is difficult. Mostly girls have this issue. I had it from sixth grade until I was about tenth grade when I babysat and could afford decent clothes. Sadly it is still true today. Varying sizes in weight have little or miserable amounts of body shaming. They should learn as a weight problem could happen to them. What do you think of body shaming? There was no body shaming in the Good Gus series. I have stories with all types of ethnicities and sizes of characters. Give it a try in e-book or paperback. “Misplaced Trust” is more about how to lie, cheat, steal and insult. Give it a read in e-book. The Good Gus Series is available online at Kindle, Nook and Waterstones. Hard copies, personally autographed, are available through our website www.goodgusbooks.com along with past blogs for your reading enjoyment. Now available audio and videos for the Good Gus series on YouTube! Digitizing for all the books are available now on YouTube! “Misplaced Trust” is now available on Amazon in e-book form.
