Betrayal

It is very difficult to deal with a betrayal. Often people cannot bear it.  On Facebook there are continual videos about primarily husbands being unfaithful to their wives.  It is clear that the women are hurt by their husband’s betrayal.  Most of the time the reasons are that they have met someone new who is younger.  Of course they always leave their families with nothing.  Often when the men run out of money the new girlfriends leave them.  Then they try to win their former wife back which always fails.  Here are a few of my favorite betrayal videos.  A wife comes home from work with a very happy face.  The husband is sitting at the kitchen table with paperwork. He asks her to sit down as he has something to discuss.  She replys she does as well. He immediately starts off saying that he wants a divorce.  Then he gives a few weak reasons such as she didn’t notice his new hairstyle, he made her favorite dinner and she didn’t even appreciate it and she has let herself go. At first she defends herself saying that she did notice his hair but she was too tired from work.  The meal he made was not her favorite but her sister’s or best friend. As for appreciation she takes care of everyting so that he always has clean clothes and a nice meal. That he walks into a clean home regardless of what the children did during the day. He flatly states he doesn’t care and asks her to sign the documents immediately. She does, of course, and then he asks her what her good news is. She smiles and states, “I just won ten million in the lottery.” He immediately begans to reverse himself but she told him it was just too late.  I also like the video where the husband forces the wife who had health issues sign the divorce papers.  The following day she bought a lottery ticket and won. He tried to sue her in court but the judge, who coincidentally was a female, flatly refused him one half of her winnings.  He had filed the divorce papers the day before so legally she was not obligated to give him anything. I love those videos because the betrayals completely backfired, don’t you agree? The Good Gus Series is available online at Kindle, Nook and Waterstones.
