Lately, how frequently do you find that people are really insincere? It now is more common that ever.  What is alarming is that people have changed dramatically from the lockdowns.  They have extreme anger and are pretending to be nice and caring when in reality they are not.  They seem pleasant but are actually quite insincere.  They appear to be reasonable in shops and on public transportation right up until their attitudes change and they become unpleasant, nasty and often rude.  It’s easy to fake it but once they become irritated everything changes.  I think the worst part about an insincere person is when you work with them on a daily basis. You believe everything is going smoothly right up until the time they take credit for your ideas or work.  If you try to defend yourself you look like a sore loser.  I also find their phony compliments upsetting.  Why even make remarks that seem sincere but are really insulting in an unflattering way.  The truth is always the best.  If you dislike a person or their appearance, don’t say anything.  The backhanded remarks are never welcome. What is sad that when a person does actually figure out what the other one said, their feelings are hurt and they are embarrassed for not recognising it immediately.  In the Good Gus series no character was insincere.  The series is easily accessible online at Kindle, Nook and Waterstones.  “Misplaced Trust” does have insincere characters.  It’s a breeze to read online at 24 Symbols, Apple, Nook, Kindle, Kobo, Page Foundry, Scribd, Playster and Tolino.
