New Year’s Goals

Everyone has been talking about their New Year’s goals today.  Many hope for good health, a new job, and always a great deal of money. I had read about Lady Bird Johnson whom when she turned seventy-five had made goals that she thought might be nice for everyone.  I would like to refer to this as a little more.  She thought people should do a little bit more in whatever they might be doing be it work or at home.  That they should do a little bit more in treating people kindly. She also believed that if people just put in a little more effort on almost anything that their life would be better and possibly others in the world. Most people set New Year’s Goals. The majority of people set goals of losing weight and exercising more.  That is why in January exercise equipment is on sale along with gym memberships. Many individuas make the decision to change their career paths, incomes and jobs.  There are so many coaching sales on Facebook and YouTube to manifest wealth, be a success, listen to vibrations, write journals, etc. The list is endless. The majority of these specials are primarily for money but a few are to find peace and lead a better life. The coaches are well aware that there are also the individuals who simply wish to change their lives. Of course, all of this comes at a price. If a person wishes to change their life a good place to start is meditation. It clears the mind and the brain and gives one a chance to focus on something new.  This could include moving, changing daily habits, improving your skills or learning something new.  I think everyone should have the New Year’s goals of reading and improving their minds and thought processes. It could lead to less stress and drama, what do you think? The Good Gus Series is available online at Kindle, Nook and Waterstones.
