Red Flags

In relationships and in life in general there are always red flags that we all often miss.  There are always signs.  For example, if you are in a relationship, whether married, dating, or even a legal partnership agreement, if one person is abusive such as being rude to you, humiliating you privately and publicly, then those are all signs to end it.  What happens, primarily to women, that over time, they become accustomed to defending themselves so much that they expect to be treated badly.  They think that the other times they are treated nicely makes up for it. It does not. Another example is if one person is dependent upon another for income, love and in general all of their needs, that is a huge red flag.  A narcissist and a sociopath will appear to be wonderful at the beginning of a relationship.  However, eventually they will treat the other person badly and then isolate them.  In that way no one will know what they are doing. Lastly, simply because there are just too many red flags, are the couples that stay together for the sake of the children. They are miserable. What is worse is that they take out their frustrations not only on each other but on the children as well. When parents are happy so are the children. We all need to learn how to spot red flags and then handle each situation. In the Good Gus series the only person demonstrating red flags was Bad Bart. The Good Gus Series is available online at Kindle, Nook and Waterstones. Hard copies, personally autographed, are available through our website www.goodgusbooks.com along with past blogs for your reading enjoyment. Digitizing for all the books is coming soon!
