Spoiled Adult

Many children grow up to become a spoiled adult.  Frequently, the fault lies with the parents.  They allow the child to do whatever they want. They do not discipline.  If the child has a temper tantrum they give them what they want so they will stop.  The child learns very quickly how to behave. They also bring this behavior to school which makes it difficult for the teacher and the other classmates.  However, if he or she associates with another child that comes from a wealthy family they tend to band together and make other children’s lives miserable.  Eventually as they progress to high school they form an “in” group and they end up being nothing but trouble.  Not only that they turn into bullies.  As they become an adult, their behavior takes on a new persona.  They try to work for their parents for that they really don’t have to work.  They have huge allowances so that they think nothing of going to expensive boutiques and buying the latest fashions.  They also tend to be rude to the employees as they believe that they can. It doesn’t sop there but in restaurants, airports, car dealers and so much more.  They feel that they are entitled so therefore they can do what they please as their parents will always get them out of any situation.  I saw a movie yesterday entitled, “Finding Normal.” The star was Candance Cameron Bure’. She was a doctor in Los Angeles moving across the country to New York to work with her boyfriend in a concierge medical practice. She was speeding through the town of Normal at about ninety miles an hour or 144.84 kilometers.  The judge who was also the town doctor, the pastor and the head of the City Council sentenced her to three days of community service.  As there was no hotel she had to sleep in the jail.  The deputy fixed it up nicely though.  The first day she had to ride a little girls’ bicycle to make her rounds.  She was not thrilled.  She met a man the first day that she was rude to who turned out to be the town lawyer.  Eventually she apologized to him. She, of course, owned a BMW, so she was wealthy and somewhat spoiled.  Once she left the town, she finally realized after her community service that being a doctor in that small town was a much better life.  She did turn around and return to the town going way over the speed limit. Sometimes being a spoiled adult can make a person realize that there are better ways of life, don’t you agree? The Good Gus Series is available online at Kindle, Nook and Waterstones.
