The truth matters although you would never know it by the news headlines. Lately, all you see, particularly in the United States, are topics about fake news.  When did it become fashionable to lie and make up news stories.  The individuals writing the fake news are supposed to be investigative reporters yet they are being cited for their lies.  Even CNN seems to be caught up in the web.  CNN always maintained that they were the best source for the news and that the truth mattered to them.  Apparently, not any more.  If you glance at any headline, you will find individuals beings released from jail because they were wrongly convicted.  The truth matters to many organizations trying to prove their innocence.  Unfortunately, at the time of conviction, being honest was indeed not important.  Take a look at the legal system in many countries.  Judges are bribed, clearly make irrational decisions and other judgments that damage lives.  The truth matters but only if they have extra cash, a promotion, or phony recognition by the press at how wonderful they are.  It is difficult to understand how the world has become so corrupt.  The very fact that there has to be protests and marches because black lives matter shouldn’t even exist.  All lives matter and it shouldn’t be based on ethnicity or the color of a person’s skin.  We are all humans although the evil people can’t exactly fall into that class.  However, the people in our everyday lives are the ones who do count and it should be looked at in that manner.  The truth always mattered in the Good Gus series.  The stories were based on honesty.  The series is available exclusively on Kindle worldwide.  If you want to see a sampling visit Mae’s Story Time on YouTube.  If you are wondering about “Misplaced Trust,” it is a book in which the truth matters.  See for yourself at these fine e-book websites: 24 Symbols, Apple, Nook, Kindle, Kobo, Page Foundry, Scribd, Playster and Tolino.
