Worth It

Do you ever ask yourself when an event occurs is it worth it? There are times in life where we simply wonder if we should continue or quit. This can easily happen at your job. If you hate it why do you continue? Often it is because there isn’t another one available at a decent rate of pay. Sometimes we are just stuck in a position that we dread going to every day. There are jobs that are labor intense that make people feel exhausted at the end of each day. Yet, with nothing available they wake up the next day and do it all over again. Then there is the daily grind of speaking to people that always complain. You aren’t a job in a complaint department, it’s just that now people are never satisfied. There have been times when I have had to redo documents simply because the client kept changing their mind. In the legal arena, doing trust work can be very difficult. People want to control everything from the grave. Frankly, it makes it very difficult for the person who is handling their affairs. There are also the people who believe they can do all the documents needed to close out a trust. Their cheapness always ends up costing them ten times what they would have paid initially. For example, we have a client that cannot find her mother’s trust. She believes one of her siblings took it. We suggested a letter from the attorney to all the siblings. She decided she didn’t wish to pay. Later when she has to go to court, the judge will ask her why she didn’t ask them. However, at that point the fees for an attorney to go to court will be in the thousands. Will it be worth it?
