When anyone goes before the judge in a court of law, their nerves are raw. They never know whatever their case may be how it will turn out. Will the judge be for or against them? Will her or she believe their case? Something as simple as a parking ticket can be a slam dunk. If you missed by a few minutes, the judge’s attitude is pay the fine. There are numerous shows on the television in the United States featuring judges. There are also entertainment shows with people as the judges for the contestant’s skills. I saw an old show that was about boys being allowed to run a city for one week. It could be useful in any country to help the politicians rethink their positions. Anyways, the star was going to be the judge for a week. He was a teenage boy and one of his first cases included two men with parking tickets and then his father appeared. The dad had received a ticket for parking across a driveway. The dad had maintained that he was in front of another car and that when he wasn’t paying attention, the other car pushed his forward and left its space. He proclaimed his innocence when he received a ticket and did the same in court. The son, as the judge, had no choice but to fine him. He was furious with his son. The real judge sat in with the teen to advise him, but the boy did all the talking and told his dad to pay the fine. Later, at the end of the day, the judge accompanied the boy home. Naturally, the dad was still angry. The real judge, however, reminded him that his son followed the rules and was impartial. He told the dad that he had taught him well. In the Good Gus series, there is a character called Judge Ross. He is the best horse breeder in all of Texas, and is the judge for Pecos and the surrounding areas. However, as you know, there is no crime in Pecos but Judge Ross assists Sheriff Gus with legal paperwork and legal matters for anyone in the town who requires it. As you think about the last few days of 2014, I hope you will decide that the child or children in your life need to read more and will choose a book from the Good Gus Series.
