Jump to Conclusions

Why don’t people listen rather than jump to conclusions? They think they know what another person is saying even before they finish  and they instantly interrupt. The individuals then proceed with their opinions, tell you why you are wrong and inform you the right or correct way.  It really doesn’t matter what you say either.  You could be talking about the weather when the other person may believe that you are about to say it is going to be too hot or too cold for the next few days.  Then, before you even finish your sentence they are reprimanding you telling you that you didn’t check the weather and you have no idea even if you did and say the conditions. I find it frustrating and annoying.  I was watching “Almost Paradise” as I like Christian Kane who was also in “Leverage.” In this series his name is Alex Walker. As he was speaking, he was interrupted by the character Kai who was jumping to conclusions.  In this particular episode, she was telling him she did not need him and he was to stay out of her assignment as an undercover cop for a criminal wedding of the heads of various organizations.  Alex tried to explain but she would not listen.  Of course, he walked the four miles or 6.44 kilometers as he knew there would be issues. Naturally, she was irritated with him at first but then she began to realize she really did need him and she shouldn’t have jumped to conclusions.  Children do it not because they believe they are smarter but because they automatically believe they know the answer. How do you feel when you are speaking to someone and they automatically jump to conclusions before you even finish what you were saying?
