Everyone believes in a certain amount luck. When people make bets they automatically assume that they will win. If these people had different thoughts, Las Vegas would not be so big and continue growing. They are building new homes, casinos, restaurants, resorts, and more. People do win now and again which motivates others to gamble. The fabulous shows and famous chef restaurants do attract people but everywhere you go there are slot machines. There are many individuals who do seem to have a great deal of luck and others who fail at everything. It is a state of mind. If you believe you are a loser and a failure you will be. If you believe in what you are doing, and possibly do affirmations or meditate your chances of success are quite high. I have met people and even one recently who continually puts himself down, says he can’t do anything, is a loser and believe it or not he is. There are individuals who always say they are lucky in love. They may have the looks, the charm, money, personality, and intelligence to be appealing. It may not last so they will move on and repeat the statement. At some point they will figure out that the luck is not carrying them into a long lasting happy relationship. Many people contribute their failures to their childhood. You grew up, you read, you met successful people and you learned by trial and error. If you don’t succeed then it isn’t your childhood, it’s you. In the Good Gus series, gambling was not available and all stories had a positive slant for the young reader.
