Individuals often take things for granted and expect that whatever they want they will receive. This could be anything such as a job, an increase in pay, or with an adult who has wealthy parents a new home, car, clothes, jewelry or anything else they may desire. This also includes people. Often a child, a friend, a workmate, parents, grandparents or anyone that may assist are taken for granted. The person making the request will automatically assume that their wish will be granted. It is difficult when they are told no. Frequently they have no idea how to accept that answer because they have always had their own way. In the workplace, a person, manager or supervisor may expect their underlings to do all the work while they take all the credit. It is wrong and unfair. The worst part is that the co-worker they steal from is afraid of losing their job most likely because if they do not obey they will become redundant. Over the years we have seen celebrity adult children behave as if they were the wealthy and successful star not the child living off their parent or parents. It’s a sad way to live. If you expect something, expect good things to happen everyday when you wake up. If you start with a positive attitude your day will be much brighter. The Good Gus Series is available online at Kindle, Nook and Waterstones.
