When times are difficult and the arguments are too much it is often better to just walk away. Often it is the best move and sometimes the safest. Frequently, arguments lead to saying words a person will regret, making threats and sometimes even violence. Once people are riled they tend to just keep speaking rather than stop. Then there are all the regrets of what was said. Once you say it you cannot take it back. It is out there and exists. Sometimes even an apology is not enough. When people let angr fester it only makes matters worse. They end up thinking all types of thoughts that should not even exist. There are also times that if they speak to another person the anger could go into rage. The other person may not think anything of it but it is possible that it will linger in the angry person’s thoughts until they react. Taking time to think is better than letting your brain followed by your mouth run rampart. This is true in many situations. For example, what do people do in traffic? They get annoyed, which moves up to frustrated and because nothing is moving their juices flow and the anger appears. The road rage is ridiculous. If you are stuck in traffic you cannot move so why go crazy over it. There have been incidents with people hurting others and even killing them. It’s beyond comprehension. I have commuted in traffic in my life. The smartest idea was to have a CD, or a good radio station to pass the time. If it was really bad, I would read a book until it passed. Often I would lose track of time and the situation and the vehicles behind me would honk for me to move. I didn’t overreact I just stepped on the gas. In that instance I drove away. The foolishness of fighting should not exist. Once again to walk away is a better option, don’t you agree? The Good Gus Series is available online at Kindle, Nook and Waterstones.
