We all grew up with selfish people. It may have been our parents, siblings, friends, cousins or even workmates once we obtained a job. It is very difficult on a family if a parent is selfish. They are unwilling to assist the other parent, help with homework, clean, occasionally cook, do laundry and even work on the home or property. In many of the videos on Facebook, it is the father that is selfish. Whatever they are doing is more important. If there is a game on they will not help with anything. If there are sports watching at a friend’s off he goes. Most fathers work but not all. Many of the working fathers believe that they are the breadwinner so therefore they need to come home to a nice home cooked meal, clean house and if there are children the home is clean and neat and there is no requirement to assist with homework. On numerous videos even today this is still true. The problem is now is that the women also work and there just isn’t enough time in any day to take care of everything. It needs to be a cooperative team. I have known men who expected all of this and were incredably selfish. It was all about them. It may have started when they were children and over time progressed into the all for them attitude and their pleasure and joy comes first. It is very difficult to deal with a selfish person in the workplace. They make everything complicated and difficult. They expect others to do their work while they play video games on their computer or phone. They also feel that they are entitled to more time off than any other employee. Their lack of consideration takes its toll on the other workers to a point that they often do not wish to work with that person. Have you ever worked with a selfish person or know one?
