Do you really know any individuals who are truly sincere?  It seems as if in life lately there are so many people who not are honest and genuine.  Years ago and still somewhat today, people will sign letters with sincerely.  I find that the formal approach is best in business.  As you are usually stating facts or making a statement your best complimentary close is yours truly. There are so many people who claim to be sincere yet really aren’t.  When confronted, they often do not tell the truth.  Saying something that is not the exact words of honesty not to hurt a person’s feelings such as how they look, their clothing, new car, new home, etc. is just being kind.  However, outright lying is a whole other matter.  People are so adjusted to lying that it becomes difficult to figure out if they are telling the truth. When our children lied such as they were not going a certain place and then were caught is different.  That was when we forced them to tell the truth and make it the habit and the right thing to do. Over time they do realize that the truth is the better way to go. In many of the TV shows and videos on Facebook lying is everyone’s forte’. There are a few videos where both children and adults see someone drop money, their wallet or something of value and return it.  There are the nice videos where wealthy people drop money to see who will return it and then they gift them a new home, car, money and a better life. I absolutely hate the obvious insincere compliments.  Being kind is one thing but when a person over exaggerates it is awful. There are also the videos on Facebook where job applicants blantantly annouce to other candidates that they will land the position.  Often they do not which is great. Do you believe people are more or less sincere in today’s world? The Good Gus Series is available online at Kindle, Nook and Waterstones.
