How often do you find yourself either in chat or on the phone with the virtual assistant? Not only are they annoying but frustrating as wel. Yesterday I had to call AAA for a client to ask if they had a notary service at that particular location. It took seven attemps before I spoke to a real person. The first few calls left me on hold and then hung up. When I finally reached the section that had a real person to answer my question, they hung up twice. Finally, my final attempt gave me a person. The individual however didn’t wish to answer my question without my AAA membership. Once I explained she answered my question. It was ridiculous. Of course, this wasn’t my first experience. The problems with the virtual assistant is that it doesn’t know the answers unless it is general. Once you are secific, it turns into a nightmare. With virtual everything it is almost impossible to speak to a real person. I called a bank the other day that had no live bodies and you had to talk on chat on your phone. You couldn’t even chat online. Amazon has finally begun to realize you need a live body to speak to sometimes. Previously, it was endless questions, with little or no results. Often after exhausting various methods people frequently give up. That may be what the companies are hoping for. I realize that virtual almost everything is taking over. One of the things I do dislike is that besides not haveing the personal touch, people are losing their jobs. I read recently that many of the large groceries in Ameica are changing back to live cashiers from do it yourself checkout. The real problem is too much theft. They have cameras but people still miss things not always on purpose. The worst part is that if you do miss an item and go back in it is very difficult. Most people recognize they have made a mistake and either forget about it or charge something twice the next time. Have you had experiences with the virtual assistant?
