Many people walk through life without ever finding joy. I read a story about a nun recently that was amazing. She had been a nun her whole life. When she retired she lived in the outside world again. She wanted to start her new life with happiness. She did various types of work and a great deal of volunteering. However, her real goal was to find the true love of her life and get married. Granted she was in her seventies but she had hope. Then one day she met him. She certainly had been looking but finding joy was her dream. At severy-five she did get married and began a new life including how to dance. I loved it. Many people spend time thinking various things will help them in finding joy. Often people believe that money is the key. Of course, money does make the world go round. Without it peole struggle with true hardship including lack of food, clothing and shelter. But, money is not the true answer. We want and need to be happy. We all wish for better things in life. Most people want a bigger home, a brand new luxury car, designer clothes and expensive jewelry. The people who are realistic live happy lives and have moderate incomes. They enjoy each day as much as possible and do the best they can during difficult times. Nothing is perfect in life but never giving up hope and moving forward is all anyone can do. For example, the girl accross the street from me is now singing. It is lovely. She is finding joy and is actually giving it to me. Looking at the positive is the best possible way of finding joy, don’t you agree?
