How many people do you know never finish what they start? That leads to many issues for individuals. It is important that if you start a project that you finish it. I know a person who starts projects all the time and yet they are never completed. There are piles of various items everywhere. You have probably seen this type of behavior on the TV. A person will start a project such as a repair and then become distracted. In the old “Leave it to Beaver,” the Dad, Ward, made the boys finish whatever they started. Often the neighborhood kids would become involved. It was always a mess. This is also true in the workplace. People start a project then often become frustrated. They may not even know how to complete it but they don’t wish to ask for help. Sometimes they have no option which leads to a demotion and a reduction in pay. There are also the people who ask for help under the guise of just being temporarily stuck. Then once they complete the project for them, they don’t receive the credit. It is wrong and unfair yet occurs every day. When we were young if we didn’t finish our homework, chores, or whatever tasks we were given we were in trouble. Often lost TV priviledges, playing outside after school, dessert after dinner, etc. I think it is wrong to leave tasks to others. This also applies to family time in general. In “Young Sheldon” when Mary and Sheldon went to Germany for the summer, Missy ended up being in charge. She quickly learned she could not do everything. Add to the fact that a tornado had passed through Medford destroying her grandmother’s home. This required a shifting of bedrooms, etc. She finally realized that everyone should help out so she developed a chore chart that made everyone pitch in. When Mary returned she was shocked to see Georgie washing the dishes. When she asked him what he was doing he told her it was his turn and referred her to the chore chart. This was the best way to finish all household taks. She even sent her father and Mandy’s dad to the grocery. Do you always finish everything you start?
