Never Stop Trying

Never stop trying should be three important words in everyone’s life.  It is easy to give up but harder to keep going.  Sometimes life can be overwhelming.  Often individuals can’t take it any more. The smart people recognize that they have issues and seek help.  If they do not have insurance they go to support groups. In “The Equalizer,” Mel started a verterans support group as she had seen battle overseas.  One man became friends and one day he told her he was going to end it all.  It was all a rouse because when Mel arrived he pretended as if he was going to jump off a building and when she finally talked him down he used a cattle prod on her and kidnapped her. It took time but the Equalizer found her along with a police detective and her husband.  She was trying to do a good thing that backfired. This was the last show of the season and she quit working as an equalizer. Next season should be interesting. In life there are people who never stop trying. It may be to obtain a better job, their own home, a good car, and in general a better life. Once  a person quits and accepts their life they often become sad and depressed. They have lost all hope and just exist.  It cannot be easy for them. There are always opportunities in life. We simply have to look for them. There are many individuals who have lost everything and have to start over. It is their choice but sometimes bad things simply happen. A friend of mine told me about a woman who was driving to visit her daughters. On the way her car slowed down, stopped and then burnt to a crisp. Fortunately, a few truck drivers stopped to help her and keep her safe. A person even gave her a ride to her daughter’s home. The worst part is that her insurance didn’t cover her loss. She is eighty-one but her family will help her. She did not give up and said she would never stop trying. If something bad happens to you, will you give up or never stop trying?
