People seems to be attached to all electronics except older people tend to watch too much TV. Why? They are no longer working and have no idea what to do with their lives. Many individuals even younger watch too much TV. Don’t misundertand me. I love my favoirte TV shows but even then I never sit for a two hour movie. When I worked outside the home many years ago, people would come in the office and talk about various shows they watched the night before. Not me. I made donner for my family and a second dinner for my stepson when he finished work at seven. I walked my dogs every night which was at the former Josey Ranch when we lived in Texas. When we moved to other states I still walked my dogs but didn’t have to make two dinners. Times have changed. Older people need to socialize more even if it is walking outside or in a mall. Just the walking will do them good. I used to go to the gym but where I live now it is too far away so I simply substitute. I saw an article that said the more TV older people watch the poorer their health will be. The article stated that for very two hours a person sits in front of the TV their health declines by twelve percent according to a study published this week in JAMA Open. Everyone’s life is different. Miss Patty walks her dogs twice a day. Nurse Joyce walks at the beach or goes to a gym. The article further states that long sitting doesn’t do our health any good. That is one of the reasons I like working at home. I am never sitting in my chair such as in an office for a prolonged period. I get up, move around, sometimes do laundry, let the dog in or out, and just walk for a few. I think it keeps my mind clear. What do you do?
