Accepting Blame

In arguments, fights and disagreements accepting blame somehow never occurs. With all the short clips on the internet primarily about gossip and or rumors, acepting blame is never at the top of anyone’s list. Tom Brady is refusing to be accused as causing the break-up of his ex-wife with her current beau. Why should he?  More importantly do you care? I don’t care and yet the blame game goes on and on every day.  During the course of our lives we are responsible for our actions. However, many people refuse to stand up and face what they did. Sometimes they find lying is easier. Accepting blame is important in our lives. Children need to learn this trait early on in their upbringing. Just saying sorry isn’t enough as it is an easy out. They need to feel remorse and be possibly punished in order to understand the consequences. People never like to take responsibility for any wrong doings.  Just look at all the TV shows. All the criminals both in and out of jail and on trial claim innocence. In an eposide of “Boston Legal,” senior partner Denny Crane, played by William Shatner, is ordered by a judge to defend a murderer who was also a rapist.  Denny refused until the judge finally threatened him with jail time. When Denny finally interviewed the defendant, the man clearly admitted that he commited the crime. He even said that he probably saved the girl a life of misery. Denny lost it. He shot him with a gun in both knee caps. Of course, Denny was exonerated, but the criminal was not. The man clearly was accepting blame for his actions but Denny couldn’t tolerate his actions. As we move about in life, it is always important that we take responsibility for our actons don’t you agree? Remember that my budget is free simply by emailing me at mae@misplacedtrustbook.com.
