Moving

I read an article today about a woman who moved to the UK twenty-five years ago and is now moving back to the states. She never felt at home in the UK. Now she is finding that America has changed drastically since she left.  The one thing she was seeking was more space which is available here. She also complained that Americans were rude and not as nice as the folks living in England. People make choices and then regret them not always until much later. Many Americans are moving overseas particuarly to Europe.  They are finding that the cost of living is lower for many items including housing, taxes, food, etc. Although, petrol is not cheaper than the states. It has always been much higher. During the summer which is a moving time in America, many families move to start a new school in August or September depending upon the state. Thousands of people have left California to move primarily to Texas, Nevada and Arizana. Others have moved to Iowa and Tennessee in lesser quantities. What is interesting is that I have seen articles now where Californians are moving back. They have become adjusted to the good weather and find it difficult living in other states. I would think frankly that the cost of living might affect their decisions. Older people are also leaving Florida at rapid rates. The housing market is quite expensive and they find they can live in similar weather at a lower rate. I have moved around a bit and lived in several states besides living in Ireland. The cost of living varied in each location. Ireland’s population is decreasing due to the high costs. People are moving to Spain, Australia and some locations in the United States. Wherever a person lives there are always adjustments. Many cities are now becoming overcrowded with the influx of new population. Are you happy where you live?
