True friendship for many people just doesn’t exist. They have aquaintances, but not real friends. When the chips are down that is when your know true friendship. Often people with financial troubles find that magically the people disappear, no longer take your calls and avoid you at all costs. It’s sad but true. In times of trouble, only anyone with a true friendship will receive the help they need and deserve. I saw a story about a woman whose marriage ended as her husband found a newer younger model. She was shocked but took it reasonably well. Her family stood by her and on the day he was to marry the young beauty her family rallied around her. She went to the church and when the question was asked, “Is there anyone here who objects?” She responded, “Yes”. She had hired a private detective to reveal the real truth about her now ex husband. Once she exposed him, his bride left and apologized to her on her way out. Sometimes family does actually provide true friendship which is nice. Then there are the family members who not only betray their family’s trust but even steal from them. I have seen this several times both in social media and on Facebook. It almost always is the son. It may be that he meets a woman who has convinced him he no longer needed his family and then he quietly without anyone being aware sells a parent’s home, takes their money and then disappears. That is when the parent or parents know who are their real friends including family members. Sadly, I know someone that his happend to and the person still can’t get past it.
