Frequently, and particuarly during an argument, it is often wiser to remain quiet and just not speak. Losing your temper only aggrevates a situation. People feel the need to strike back and vent their feelings and thoughts. It just doesn’t make the matter better and it only soothes their feelings for a few minutes. Individuals think that if they get their point accross that is all that matters. It doesn’t as the other person probably doesn’t agree. In many of the videos and even Pocket FM, the reputation of individuals and families seems to be most important. Not only that but their feelings only matter and not anyone elses. As children we learned to treat each other nicely. That is what we were taught both in school and by our parents. The spoiled kids started early on as their way was the only way in their minds. Learning how to make friends and adjust to others was and still is important. As adults and particuarly in the workplace, we all need to get along. In the stories and in real life, the revenge factor and always being right seems to be the most prevalent. This is also true in families. Often the mother-in-laws and daughter-in-laws clash as the mother believes she is older and knows better. That is not always true. If one has a mother-in-law that makes life difficult everyone suffers. Of course, in all the stories, the mother-in-law is sure she is right and needs to guide the family. Her children are adults and really need to fend for themselves. They think before they speak should be a part of everyone’s lives and always is in their thoughts. We can say or even do foolish things that cannot be erased or taken back. Once said it can never be unsaid, don’t you agree? The Good Gus Series is available online at Kindle, Nook and Waterstones.
