I just saw an article about Adele and how Scientology is literally harassing her as they wish to purchase her property. She bought this piece of property to get away from the hustle and bustle of the big city. However, they want it as it has guest cottages, tennis courts, etc. She choose this home as it has a beautiful view of Sussex in the countryside of England. She wishes to raise her two sons in a nice area. Yet, the Scientology people seem to disagree. Just because you are a wealthy organization doesn’t give you the right to harass a person because you want their home. They just need to find a different property. Harassment occurs frequently in the workplace. I was fired once from a job because my boss began harrassing me and when I refused to go on a date with him he made me redundant. He was married and I felt it was extremely inappropraite asking me. My daughter does a variety of types of freelance legal work. She had a client who felt because he was trans and gay that he was being harassed. When she read all the emails she told him he had no case. There have been countless movies and TV shows about harassment. Sometimes it simply boils down to refusing to work late. We all have lives and many have children. No one should be forced to work past the normal hours and then harassed because they refuse. I worked at home the entire time my children were young. I did have babysitters and nannies to play with them. My office was off the kitchen and it had a front and back sliding door. I also bought late one night, and this was a very long time ago, cameras so I see wherever they were when they were outside. It worked out quite well but not everyone has that luxury.
