TV Violence

Everyone talks about the violence on television. That’s just it; its mostly talk. I was flipping through the channels the other day when I stopped to see what was happening in a particular cartoon. It looked like it was a story about a Prince about to give a ring to a Princess. All of a sudden a girl, wearing a costume with two hearts around her chest as a main focal point of her costume, flew between them and stole the ring.  Then, a meaner person flew in and stole the ring from the girl. This show was promoting theft. No only that, the characters were laughing after each one had stolen the ring. Do you really want your children watching shows that blurs right from wrong?  I understand that the producers make money from these shows, but they should not be promoting TV violence. In our lives today there is too much real trouble and violence. If you just skim through social media, what do you see?  All types of crimes. I think the worse part is that people automatically assume that they will get away with whatever they do. Over the years there have been very few people who have never been caught. However, eventually, with the new technology, they were found out even after decades. It at least brings some form of peace to their families. I am in favor of more comedies and less violence. How about you? Wouldn’t you prefer that your children  or grandchildren read stories that were entertaining and promoted good values? That is the main reason I wrote the Good Gus series. The Good Gus Series is available online at Kindle, Nook and Waterstones. Hard copies, personally autographed, are available through our website www.goodgusbooks.com along with past blogs for your reading enjoyment. Now available audio and videos for the Good Gus series on YouTube! Digitizing for all the books are available now on YouTube! “Misplaced Trust” is now available on Amazon in e-book form.
