How often do people glance at data and then still make a decision without using logic? They mostly make decisions without clearly thinking it out. Today I saw an article about a couple who moved from Hawaii to Colorado. Now they regretted it as they cannot afford to purchase a home. They should have analyzed the costs for everything before leaving. Taking a quick glance at information isn’t nearly enough. Now the question is will they move again? When people make life changing decisions they really need to collect all the data. There are actualy websites that will calculate the cost of living in various locations. It’s not only moving it’s making the decision to change jobs. If you believe your job is good, then why change? Of course, there are numerous factors such as you work long hours, there is no overtime, you are not appreciated and the possibility of a promotion in the near future are nil. However, as you look at other opportunities, it is imperative to check everything. This includes, besides location, benefits, a good wage, chances for promotion, whether you are working at home and only commuting a few days a week, or if it is a work at home job. The biggest factor in working at home is being truly organized. I have worked at home for forty-three years including in more than one country. It is easier for me. Years ago my late husband and I commuted long distances. I hated it but it was the times. I started in 1981 long before it was even heard of let alone even popular. When my children were in elementary school, the mothers of almost every child did not work. They would constantly feel they could dop their younger children with me as they assumed I really didn’t actually work. They were so far from being correct. Our first company I managed to have two large contracts signed. One was with Digital Equipment which no longer exists and the other was Bell Laboratories part of AT&T. It was a logical choice for me to work at home. What is yur logcial choice work in or outside the home?
