Financial Stability is slowing becoming a thing of the past. Even with inflation dropping, the prices have risen so high, that for many people affording their own home is now out of the question. Not to mention the lack of jobs. AI appears to be slowing taking over various positions. Also, when the prices were down, the wealthy including corporations bought homes that now are rented for astronomical prices. For example, in California a simple studio in Calabasas is three thousand dollars or three thousand two hundred forty Euros. A one bedroom apartment in an upscale neighborhood in Dallas, Texas is one thousand seven hundred or one thousand eight hundred thirty-six Euros. What are families supposed to do? The second the bread winner loses their job their troubles begin. Family holidays may become a novelty. Private schools may become unaffordable. Even a new car, with the high monthly payments, may also become a thing of the past. Trying to keep financial stability is not easy. Often when a person least expects it they are made redundant or they are no longer allowed to work the hours that constitute a full time wage. Many people try to start their own businesses. The advertisers on our phones are continually offering games that they claim will make you a solid weekly paycheck. Then there are the ads on YouTube promising financial stability by investing in a variety of businesses. Of course, these ads are now followed by new ads claiming that they are all lying and only they can help you. Seriously, it is just ridiculous. One of the reasons I wrote “Misplaced Trust” was that families that thought they had financial stability found out suddenly that all their money was gone. I just saw an old episode of “Murdoch Mysteries” that had that story line where a woman’s uncle stole everything from her. Do you have financial stability in your life?
