Reels

There is a new trend on Facebook reels which is disturbing. They, of course, have many companies now offereing all types of drama type shows.  What I dislike is that in many of the reels, women are slaping other women across the face and sometimes even men do it. There was one reel about a woman who was carrying twins and another woman didn’t want her to marry a man she felt should marry her. The fact that he didn’t love her appeared to be inconsequential. What also occurred was that there were a few other women who kidnapped the pregnant woman, tied her to a chair and beat her. I think this horrific behavior should not be presented on Facebook which has young teens and women watching it. Of course, almost all the reels revolve around being wealthy and if a person isn’t they are mocked, criticized, and called trash and a few other choice words. This may bring in advertising money but at what price? The behavior is the type that should not be condoned under any circumstances. Of course, there are short reels with jokes that are funny most of the time. Sometimes they are crass. When you think about reels what comes to mind? I think of positive short stories not extreme drama with people constantly fighting about money, criticizing the individuals who don’t have it and bodily harm. I expect each person has a different perception of good entertainment. What is yours? Everywhere you look in the states there are ads for Black Friday.
