No Waiting

No waiting is the theme of the newest generations. They do not like waing for the phones to react, their computers to take their time and/or print, the slowness they believe of the microwave, and the fact that anything takes too long. They never lived in a time when there was no technology. For example, I heard a story about a man who was annoyed that the computer took too long to print something he needed and that the microwave took too long to heat up water for a cup of tea. Seriously, their mindset of no waiting is ridiculous. Many years ago people who lived on a farm had to go out to the well, pump it, and then bring in the water. Then they had to heat it on a stove which possibly might have been electric but probably not. In my grandparents house we had propane to heat the stove. We did have electricity but not an electric or gas stove. Can you imagine how today’s generations could handle that? It would probably take at least a half hour to do all that and their idea of instant and no waiting just wouldn’t go over well. When I lived with my grandparents we did have running water, but it did take a while to boil a kettle of water for tea. Now, of course, we have the kettles that heat water very quickly. How would you feel if you lived back in the day? Sales are everywhere now.
