Let Go of the Past

We all have had ups and downs in our life, but it is quite difficult to let go of the past. Many of us have mistakes that we regret. However, there is just no point in dwelling on it. It is over. It may have affected you for your entire life, but now is the time to let go of the past. It is not easy. We have to move past our mistakes whether large or small. If you decide to read my book or give it as a gift to an adult, “Misplaced Trust,” there are many individuals who ruined the lives primarily of their families. In my experience it has been mostly the sons who have cheated their parents. I often wonder as they go through life using all their money if there ever any moments of regret. On Facebook, there are usually again men, who decide to leave their wife for a younger woman. They strip them of all the assets and disappear for a while. Right up until they run out of money and the girlfriend or wife leaves them. Then they go back to the woman they treated so cruelly thinking not only should they be forgiven but given money because they blew it all. I love the story about the man who becomes homeless after losing the girlfriend and from living an extremely lavish lifestyle. When he returned to the ex, he demanded her inheritance from her father. What was worse in this whole scenario was that he ran off with his ex’s sister. Then the sister returned begging for money and pretending to be pregnant so she could inherit her father’s money. When it was discovered she was not with child, everything fell apart even further for the couple. Does it make you wonder what possessed them to think that the ex and sister would just let go of the past and give them everything?
