I saw an article about a crocodile today that I am sure most people won’t even notice. A croc came up to a man’s boat and just stared at him. He was calm and the man, Joe, wasn’t sure what was happening. The croc began to move and Joe figured out he wanted him to follow. My first thought was, “Seriously, the crocodile can eat you in an instant.” However, Joe turned on his motorboat and began to follow him. Every once in a while, the croc would turn around to look at him. Finally, they began going into what Joe considered dangerous waters. Then the croc stopped and wanted Joe to follow him on the land. They found some empty cans and abandonded tents along with other items. Joe found a map and began following it. Joe felt something was off and had a sense of danger. The area looked a mess and also as if some people left in a hurry. As they followed the trail, the crocodile looked agitated. Joe wasn’t feeling too good either. Along the way he found a journal that appeared to be a record of the group’s research. However, it stopped abruptly and now Joe was curious as to what they had found. The croc urged him on. They found a makeshift shelter with a woman tied up and unconscious. He untied her and gave her some water and she came to. She said her name was Dr. Harris. She had puncture wounds on her arms. She had researching about poachers and now they were still in danger. All of a sudden they heard a noise and Joe told her to hide with him in the brush. It was the poachers and their main goal was to find Dr. Harris. They didn’t wish to be exposed and they would do anything to stop her. The crocodile guided them through the paths. It appeared to be his goal to protect them. She said they had huge boxes of animals caught in snares and traps. It was a well organized scheme. As they trudged on they found an old radio that actually worked. They signed a distress signal. The help said they would be there quickly. They showed up in helicopters and Joe went out of the brush so they could see him. The government officials went after the poachers. The plus point was they had the journal which proved their guilt. Joe received a letter and medal of commedation. He also received a letter from Dr. Harris telling him that she was an animal trainer and had actually trained the crocodle that saved them.
