Kickball

I happend to see an adult team on “America Says” competing for money. They explained that they played the old fashioned way of kickball.  I liked kickball so much that I wrote a book in the Good Gus series entitled “Toby Saves the Day,” book number twenty-six. As Judge Ross was riding into town, he saw an animal in the distance. It turned out to be a baby elephant. He stopped and took out his largest canteen and slowly began giving him some water. At first the baby didn’t understand but soon he figured it out. He then reached into his saddlebag for some bread and fed the elephant which he could now see was starving. The elephant figured it out and the judge mounted his horse and began a slow trot into Pecos with the elephant following. The closer he came to Pecos, the more people began to appear. They all couldn’t believe their eyes. Judge Ross called to Gus to get some food and by the time they arrived at his office he was ready and waiting with greens for him. Sheriff Gus asked Ross if he was keeping him and he said no but that there was a wild animal preserve in Austin. Gus sent a letter immediately. Within a few days all the children loved the elephant who was now named Toby. Everyone in the town contributed food. On the last day of school, Miss Patty decided to have a party for all the students at Sheriff Gus’s office.  Adults and children alike attended. The children began playing kickball. They made special arrangements so Katie could play in her wheelchair. All of sudden there was a huge sound. Toby broke threw the fence because a rabbid coyote was inching towards the children. You have have to read the full story to find out what happened. This is one of the reasons I started the Good Gud series. I wanted good adventures for children to read without any violence. The e-books are available online. I also wrote “Misplaced Trust” to teach people the value of living trusts to avoid probate. I did include what people do which is why you must protect your family. The Good Gus Series is available online at Kindle, Nook and Waterstones. Hard copies, personally autographed, are available through our website www.goodgusbooks.com along with past blogs for your reading enjoyment. Now available audio and videos for the Good Gus series on YouTube! Digitizing for all the books are available now on YouTube! “Misplaced Trust” is now available on Amazon in e-book form. It is also available digitally at www.misplacedtrustbook.com. If you are thinking of a Will or a Living Trust, “Misplaced Trust” with a five star rating on Amazon will give you the information you need to make an informed decision. The Good Gus series, books one through four, are now available at the Morgan Mill Mail/UPS.
