Rethink

The newest generation, Gen Z, is trying to convince its members to rethink about their purchases. It is actually a good idea. They are working at ‘deinfluencing’ them. For example, a pair of leggings costs over one hundred dollars or Euros. What they are saying to their generation is. “Do you eally need to pay that much for leggings?” Frankly, there are many more items they could purchase with that amount of money. If you live on a budget or do not make large sums of money, comparing costs is essential. You simply can’t just buy an item and think to yourself, “Oh I will figure it out later.” The sad part is that later does come when that credit card bill arrives along with the interest and suddenly that item is much more costly. I love the ads for zero interest. It’s brilliant on the bank card companies’ sales pitch. People buy on the card, forget about the interest and then before long they are maxed out and then the new reality of interest on top of the charges. It never goes well in their minds. When you are young it is exciting to have a credit card. It makes you feel special. When the reality hits, you suddenly realize you have made a mistake and you are no different than anyone else. That is part of the reason Gen Z is trying to convince its members to rethink spending and their way of life.
