Task Masking

I have written about people pretending to work while goofing off and now it has a name task masking. You can see it all the time on Facebook reels. The supervisor or manager appears to be working and gives as much work as possible to the employees he or she considers as underlings so they don’t have to do it. Most of the videos contain women bullying what they consider to be inferior people. Eventually they are fired which is always great.  The task masking will lead to problems. Now that many companies have demanded people return to the offices it has lead to new problems. Many of these people were used to working at home and did work but not as much as they should have. It just looked that way. Now back behind a desk they are hardly working. I have worked at home for over forty years and I find it so much easier. I  am organized with the correct size desk and it is simpler for me. The fact that I no longer drive, or orcommute to work is perfect for me. It gives me time to exercise before I start my work day. Sometimes it is earlier that I wish but I am still grateful I am at home. It also gives me time to eat in peace and do laundry when necessary. I also can let the dog out whenever she wishes particularly on good weather days. You also have to realize that the lack of money spent for petrol or foods to bring lunches makes life much easier as well. The task masking workers will eventually be caught and lose their jobs. As the job market is quite tight right now, it would not help them financially. What do you think about task masking?
