Good Parent Child Relationship

I have written lately about the good parent child relationship or what they thought was good. It turns out that many don’t realize it until it is too late. The most important thing a parent should do is not give advice. They don’t want it and frankly they think we are not that smart. Guess what we are. Whether you like them or not respect their partner. This is often easier said than done. However, we have to try and do the best we can. You should know and understand that the former family tradition may no longer be valid. They may have always hated them or want their own. At the time it seemed good but sometimes things change. You cannot take it personally if they are busy. They have a life and you had one at that age. The fact they were with you most of the time is irrelevant. Unless necessary don’t tell them your difficulties. It works out better in the long run. Learning to respect each other’s boundaries is not easy. However, for you the parent ‘mind your own business.’ It defintely works out better in the long run. Don’t try to manipulate them via money. It might be easy but the fights are just not worth it. I will say this that if you know something private, keep the secret. It is worth it. If you are independent stay that way. I am older and like mine.  Most of my family have good relationships with their families, and me,  do you? In the Good Gus series, the children were mostly young except for Cory. However, he had a great relationship with Kate and Steve. With the snow melting in most of the country, think about an e-book from the series for your child at home.  “Misplaced Trust” actually has some good parent to child relationships. Others not so great which is why their greed and true crime comes into play with an e-book. Visit the site and download an e-book. The books are available in e-book from the sites www.goodgusbooks.com and www.misplacedtrust.com. “Misplaced Trust” has a five-star rating on Amazon. It is about true crime and greed.
