There have been many reports about the effects of soda on the human body. A soda now and again is one thing but drinking it everyday in sizeable quantities is extremely unhealthy. I saw an article today about a woman who drank six cans of soda a day. She eventually had health issues and developed Graves Disease. People should really understand the impact of both regular soda and diet soda. Both contain harmful chemicals. Regular soda whether in a can or plastic bottle is unhealthy. The number of chemicals that if people knew, they would stop drinking it instantly. The microplastics is bad enough. Aluminum doesn’t help either. Some of the side effects of soda are damage to your brain which often causes a lack of memory, weight gain, poor sleeping, and in children it causes, so they believe, ADHD. Whatever it is plus all the chemicals it is too unhealthy for words. Drinking water is the best solution for everyone. I drink water out of a glass or if I am drinking Pelligrino it is always in a bottle. Diet drinks are the worst as they contain aspartane. When my son was eleven he was diagnosed with Type I diabetes. The doctors gave recommendations for foods including diet soda. I was studying and learning all about foods and what they contained when a boy that he played baseball with father chewed me out for letting him drink diet soda. This was a man who practically lived on fast food. Once I looked it up I gave him permission for coffee, tea or water, no diet anything. The dad took the two boys to a knights in the round table festival. He literally called me from the festival to ask he he could drink coffee. I said absolutely but no artifical sweetners. He is still a coffee drinker today. Although I started at three with my grandparents and I do not have diabeties. If you drink soda, think about its side effects. It may help you. Back in the Good Gus era there was soda with Schwepps being invented in 1836 in Geneva. I didn’t include it in my stories as I didn’t want to encourage drinking it.
