Receptionists

Your receptionist is important as he or she handles callers pleasantly and professionally  that it makesthe caller  want to do business with you .They are the key to bringing in more new business.  Often in any business there are complaints that the receptionists handle immediately. By utilizing a postivie even tempered receptionist you have a better chance of increasing business, avoiding a refund, and bad reviews. I was a receptionist many years ago. I learned quickly how to handle people plus as I worked for a group of engineers, how to do technical typing. Back then there were no computers. Miss Patty was also a receptionist which is how I first met her. She learned quickly the ins and outs of the business. We still work together today. Often customer service is the receptionist. There are times now where you remain on hold for long periods. Many companies in order to avoid receptionists and customer service individuals use chat and sometimes even AI chat. I was on hold yestrday for one and one half hours with texting chat which I am still not sure wasn’t AI. At Dr. Moore’s office in Pecos in the Good Gus series Nurse Joyce was both the receptionist and nurse. Everyone liked her. How do you feel when you walk into reception with your treatment?  In “Misplaced Trust” the attorneys handling the estates have to have receptionisists with extreme patience. As a paralegal we had repeated calls from the same beneficiaries everyday. Give it a read as an e-book. The Good Gus Series is available online at Kindle, Nook and Waterstones.
