Lasagna

Lasagna is very popular particuarly in Italian restaurants. Did you know it originated in Greece? It is made completely different in Italy as opposed to America. I learned from an Italian woman but it is the American way. I don’t buy the precooked noodles or the prepackaged products. I cook the noodles, make the sauce and then add the various cheeses. In America I do buy the packaged cheese that is shredded. I do buy the chunks of cheese however, that I shred for other foods. It is too time consuming and costly to buy the chunks.  There isn’t a person I haven’t made it for that doesn’t like it. I never use meat. This includes when I make sauce. When I would make sauce when I lived in San Diego, my stepson would drive his motorcycle over on those days just to eat it. The first thing he and my son always did was dip Italian bread in the sauce to see how it tasted. I always made extra as they dipped quite a bit. In the restaurants these is meat with much less cheese and sauce. In Italy they do not use the same amount of cheese as America. I learned when I was quite young and have always found it easy to make. Do you like it or make it? It was an available food during the Good Gus era as it was invented in the twelth century. I hope you will consider an e-book from the series. In “Misplaced Trust” food was not discussed only theft and cheating. Give it a try in e-book.
