I have on my license as many other people do that I am an organ donor. It is not a topic that is discussed except if it occurs for someone famous. I saw a reel the other day about this very topic. It was a chilly day and two girls who were also twins were standing in front of a grave. An older man came along and said hello to them. He asked them why they were there as this was his son’s grave. They told him they came every Sunday to show their gratitude for what he had given them. The man said, “This is my son.” They told him that they were sorry but he saved their lives. He looked surprised and asked how. One girl said she received his heart and the other girl received his liver. The man started to slowly cry. They said without his help they wouldn’t be there. Then their mother appeared and said hello. She asked the girls what was going on. They explained. She looked at the man and said they were truly grateful but at the same time she was sorry for his loss. Then the man broke down. It took a few minutes but then they started talking. He asked if he could walk with them and before long they were a family. The girls called him Grandpa and the mother had a father as she was a single parent.
