No Show

There was an article today about a woman in Texas who planned a birthday party at Pizza Hut for her nine year old daughter. She had missed several parties because of work so she was really excited. After thirty minutes no one showed up so she put a message on social media. People responded in a big way including bringing her gifts. I have read about this before when a person planned a birthday and no one came. What kind of parents teach  children that a no show to a classmate’s birthday was inappropriate. When my children were young I invited the whole class and they did show up. What is wrong with parents today? Can’t they even have feelings for a young child as to how hurt they would be? I guess this is one time social media was really helpful. The TV Station KRIS News even showed up and interview the mother. I imagine someone chipped in to help her pay as so many people arrived. The TV station pointed out the true kindness of the community and strangers. There were birthday parties in the Good Gus series including book eight “The Uninvited Guest.” An e-book is a great read before bed for a child. “Misplaced Trust” had many no shows in the chapters. An e-book is ready for you to download and read. Visit the site and download an e-book. The books are available in e-book from the sites www.goodgusbooks.com and www.misplacedtrustbook.com. “Misplaced Trust” has a five-star rating on Amazon. It is about true crime and greed.
