Pardons

People everywhere are upset about the Chrisleys’ pardons. Just because they are wealthy and swindled banks out of thirty million and others do less and rot in jail doesn’t seem fair. Now they have a TV deaal on Lifetime. President Clinton pardoned his own brother for a drug conviction. Richard Nixon was pardoned by Gerald Ford. The United States was deeply angry about it. Brigham Young was also pardoned. What bothers I think most people is that if they commited these crimes as a regular person they would rot in jail forever. There are people who have commited horrendous crimes and should stay there but the rich seem to commit crimes and are forgiven. Most of the people complaining are mad as they have friends, relatives or even acquaintences who did much less yet they are serving full terms and sometimes even longer. No one is perfect and yes we all make mistakes but seriously many of the people expressing their anger would love to have a portion of the money that was swindled. The illegal acts of Nixon and Young were based on espionage but nothing close as to what occurs today. How do you feel? Are you with or against the general populace? In the Good Gus series there was no crime as there should not have been. These are good stories with good values and were written for a child’s enjoyment.
