Eighty-Five percent of all studies show that whatever we worry about never happens. We all have great minds with a great deal of energy. Wasting it on worry is causing your brain to work in the wrong direction. Once something triggers your nerves, what happens? Your mind races, your heart pounds and you can’t stop thinking about every bad thing that will happen. The problem is that your brain cannot tell if it is real or fake. That makes it even worse. We use our brain for everything such as solving problems, driving, cooking, socializing and so much more. If you allow your brain to go wild, what happens to your creative thinking? You can’t because it is all jumbled. The next time your mind goes spiraling out of control, stop. Take a look around where you are. Take a deep breath. Smell the flowers, tress, bushes, anything that will begin to clam your mind down. Listen to whatever is around you. Touch something, anything to distract you. Focus on everything all around you so your mind will simmer down. Trying to relax and get the negative thoughts and all the worries in control takes a little work but it can be accomplished. Many times when I sit down to write the blog, I look at the news. Not only does it give me ideas but it distracts me to clear my mind. What works for you?
