Working

What makes clients believe that we are always working and that it is fine contacting you on a Sunday is acceptable? How about calling late in the evening? Lately, this has occurred to Miss Patty. How inconsiderate?  Doesn’t anyone else see that we need breaks?  We work long days as it is. Many times the clients change their documents six or seven times before they are approved. What is worse is that after they receive them they claim an error. That is what happened today. I was called and was asked for three deeds. I did one but the other two were never sent. This woman already owns five properties that I redid the deeds for and now I have to do another two. It’s amazing that people feel this way. When they were working I can imagine that they did not work nights or weekends. Being a paralegal does not mean that we are available 24/7.  Those are the careers of firepeople, the police, doctors, nurses, etc. Also, their pay is probably much better. I am thinking that these individuals feel entitled and that because we do the work we are at their beck and call.  It just doesn’t work that way. What type of job do you or did you have? How do you feel about always being available?  In the Good Gus series, Sheriff Gus was obviously always available. After all it was his job. This also included Dr. Moore and Nurse Joyce. The books give a young child a glimpse of a few careers back then that are still available today.  The series is available in paperback and e-book. “Misplaced Trust” did have characters with this same attitude. Half the time we didn’t answer the phone once we figured out their numbers, “Misplaced Trust” is available in e-book form. The Good Gus Series is available online at Kindle, Nook and Waterstones. Hard copies, personally autographed, are available through our website www.goodgusbooks.com along with past blogs for your reading enjoyment. Now available audio and videos for the Good Gus series on YouTube! Digitizing for all the books are available now on YouTube! “Misplaced Trust” is now available on Amazon in e-book form. It is also available digitally at www.misplacedtrustbook.com. If you are thinking of a Will or a Living Trust, “Misplaced Trust” with a five star rating on Amazon will give you the information you need to make an informed decision.
